The Southern United Netball Association Incorporated, or SUNA as we are affectionately known, was born on the 29th July 1974.

Our founders created SUNA because they saw there was no organised competition opportunities for netball in the local area at that time. SUNA started its competitions on two courts and a tin shed at Christie Beach, it grew rapidly and then moved to six courts at Jordan Drive sharing the space with the local tennis club. In 1978, with Onkaparinga Council, we built 12 courts at Wilfred Taylor Reserve with clubrooms.

Due to the sustained growth of netball and demand in the local area in February 2022, we opened the largest netball facility upgrade in the Southern Region, expanding our 12 courts to 18 brand new courts with competition standard LED lights. 

We run our competitions all year round offering both a Winter & Summer season. Our netball competitions span over 3 nights, Tuesday our Schools Competition in terms 2 & 3, Juniors 13&U and Inters Divisions, Wednesday all our Senior Divisions and Friday our Junior 7&U, 9&U & 11&U Divisions.
